When did you start working in communications?
My first job out of college was working in news at CNN. It was only a year before I pivoted to communications. It's hard to believe that was over a decade ago!

What's your current role and what does a "typical" day look like for you?
My typical day includes a lot of issues management and crisis communications, cross-functional planning, messaging development, and overseeing specialists who are working hard to win share-of-voice in three different markets.

What is your favorite part of PR/marketing/communications?
Telling impactful stories.

Why are you a member of PRSA?
I am a forever student. I hope to learn from the experience of others and stay up-to-speed on the latest tools and best practices. I also hope to make some friends and expand my network along the way!

What is a fun fact about you, professionally or personally, that would surprise people?
I took a semester off of school to be a production fellow at The Late Show with David Letterman. An unexpected part of the job was serving as a prop in dangerous on-air sketches like a stuntman jumping over a line of interns on his motorcycle.
