Assists the Marketing & Communications team with marketing events, planning and execution, scheduling, material coordination, capturing content and post-event report collection.

Writes newsletter articles, blog posts and news stories for publication both internally and externally.

Works closely with the Manager, Public Relations & Communications and Manager, Digital Communications to develop content (stories, photos, videos and design elements) for internal and external use.

Coordinates the development, delivery and reporting of the “This Week at Goodwill” weekly e-newsletter.

Coordinates the quarterly team member newsletter including executing the timeline and asset collection, contributing content and overseeing the approval and delivery process.

Identifies and develops written and video testimonials from Goodwill’s training program participants to assist in communication of the organization’s mission.

Contributes to content creation by capturing photos and videos at organization events, and labeling and uploading assets with direction from the Project Manager.

Assists in executing internal communications strategy and plan to engage 900+ team members, including managing information distribution on SharePoint, the organization’s intranet site.

Supports the management of team editorial calendars, receiving and updating files with content developed by team members and internal partners.

Maintains the inventory of promotional items and collateral and manages the organization distribution to organization representatives.

Supports the Creative Services Designer with brand audits at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus and throughout the territory to ensure all branding is relevant, up-to-date and meets brand standards.

Coordinates with the Marketing & Communications team to develop and execute marketing plans for donation drives, retail grand openings, graduations, pop-up shops, job fairs and other events as needed.

Assists with research and development of marketing and public relations campaigns.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations and two to four years of professional work experience in marketing, communications, public relations, nonprofit or related activities including at least one year’s experience in writing assignments; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Valid Driver's License (Class C), car insurance and reliable automobile required. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly (more than 2/3 of the day) required to sit, talk or hear. The team member frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the day) is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The team member is occasionally (less than 1/3 of the day) required to walk or stand. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. Occasional local travel required.
