Consultant

Seeking a freelance/independent consultant for client work and with an interest in helping to grow a small pr firm. This is a remote position, but DC, ATL, or Charlotte areas a plus. Minimum 10 hours per month guaranteed; likelihood of 20 or more.

Blue Wagon Group is a small comms agency serving a variety of clients in a variety of ways.  We aim for a collaborative environment — within and with our clients — and we stay focused on bringing value to and serving our clients.  We are problem solvers, team players, and hand holders; and we’re known for occasionally swooping in while wearing capes.

BWG has big dreams for growth, so we’re looking for the right person who can help us long-term to service our clients and service our own agency.

Qualifications

Required:

• 8+ years “general” experience in the pr/comms industry
• Solid skills and abilities across the spectrum of pr writing, with AP-style acumen
• Positive energy and mindset
• Deadline-oriented
• Bachelor’s degree in pr, journalism, communications, or related field
• Fully-quipped and functional home office environment

Preferred:

• Experience in media relations, social media / digital marketing, and/or strategy development
• Agency background
• Accreditation from PRSA of America or similar professional organization and/or graduate degree
