2020 has been an unprecedented year, from the COVID pandemic to a renewed focused on societal issues of tremendous importance like racial equity, all with the backdrop of an upcoming Presidential election that promises to be one of the most interesting in history. Join PRSA Charlotte to hear from CNBC Anchor & Washington Correspondent Kayla Tausche. Kayla will share her inside perspective on how journalists have had to adapt to new environments and limitations, how recent events have changed news reporting maybe for good and what she expects on the horizon for the rest of the year. She will also share some examples of how she has worked effectively with PR professionals, as well as tips and best practices for breaking stories through and working effectively with national journalists.

Kayla Tausche is an anchor and Washington correspondent for CNBC, where she reports on the White House, Congress, federal agencies, and elections. Leveraging a deep network of political sources, her reporting provides essential, behind-the-scenes information on policy developments. She has interviewed top Trump administration officials, foreign leaders and executives from the world's largest companies.

Before moving to DC in 2017, Tausche was co-host of Squawk Alley, CNBC's dayside show focusing on the intersection of Wall Street and Silicon Valley. When she joined CNBC in 2011, she covered the banking industry and its evolution after the 2008 financial crisis.
